Hi, I’m Anita
The face behind Soulbound Jewellery.
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. From a young age. I was happiest when I was making things with my hands, usually mud huts and potions in the garden from my dad’s flowers (sorry
Dad) or sewing dolls clothes just like my Mum. That passion eventually led me into a career as a seamstress after leaving school, working in various factories, including the Nottingham Fashion Centre, where one of my proudest projects was being part of the team making the pit lane shirts for the Williams Formula 1 team.
After having my 3 children, I spent time at home raising my family whilst continuing to explore my creative side. I began experimenting with simple jewellery making and attended a couple of local evening courses. What started as a hobby soon became something much more.
In 2022 I discovered the world of permanent jewellery. It was already hugely popular in the USA and was beginning to make its way to the UK. I loved the idea immediately. After investing in my first welding machine, I travelled to Utah to train and
learn the craft properly. I started out in a small room at the back of a piercing studio in Grimsby, and today I work from my own dedicated studio and workshop at home.
Alongside running the business, I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge, completing 3 diplomas with the Jewellers Academy: Silver
Jewellery, Fine Jewellery and most recently Silver Clay. Silver Clay has quickly become my favourite medium. Allowing me to create truly unique pieces that combine creativity, craftmanship and a touch of magic.
Today, I create both permanent jewellery and one-of-a-kind designs using a blend of sterling silver and fine silver clay. Every piece is made with care, whether it’s a delicate welded bracelet marking a special moment or handcrafted creation inspired by the things I love.
The Story Behind the Name
The name Soulbound Jewellery comes from my love of gaming, particularly World of Warcraft. In the game, certain items become “soulbound” meaning they belong only to the player who learned them and cannot be worn by anyone else.
That idea felt like the perfect fit for permanent jewellery. Once a bracelet is welded into place, it becomes uniquely yours – a personal piece connected to your memories, milestones, friendships, or loved ones. Just like a soulbound item in the game, it’s something special that belongs only to you.
Inspired by Adventure, Nature and Fantasy
My inspiration comes from many places. Fantasy worlds, gaming, woodland walks and the rugged beauty of the Shetland isles, all find their way into my work. Family trips to visit my husband’s relatives in Shetland have given me a deep appreciation for wild coastlines, changing skies and the natural textures that often influence my designs.
